Meni Philip, recently relocated from Israel to Los Angeles, California, has established a name for himself as an extraordinarily successful filmmaker, capturing the attention and imagination of audiences with numerous high-profile productions that have been produced and distributed by major Israeli and U.S. production companies.
An international award-winning director, writer, and editor, Philip's films have screened widely at international film festivals and won numerous awards. His short film Sinner premiered at the 2009 Venice Film Festival and received the award for Best European Short Film, and was nominated at the European Film Academy Awards. In the following years, Sinner screened at over 50 international film festivals.
Philip has substantially impacted Israeli society with his film Let There Be Light, an autobiographical documentary film about leaving the ultra-Orthodox world to a modern and secular lifestyle. He worked in collaboration with some of the most reputable directors and producers in the world, including two-time Oscar nominee, producer David Mandil, two-time Oscar nominee for his films Bufort and Footnote, Joseph Cider, Avi Nesher, and Udi Aloni, director and a Jury Member at the Berlin Film Festival.
